About getIMAGEpress
getIMAGEpress is a free image converter and compressor built around one idea: tell users the truth.
What we promise
- Real before and after file sizes on every result, even when a conversion makes the file bigger.
- Best-effort targets, honestly reported. If your image cannot reach 50KB at a usable size, we say so.
- Files auto-delete within 30 minutes. The cleanup job runs every 5 minutes and removes anything older than 25 minutes.
- No signup, no watermarks, no fake urgency, no invented user counts.
How it works
Your image uploads over an encrypted connection to our server, where it is converted or compressed using the sharp image library (plus a WASM HEIC decoder for iPhone photos). The result streams straight back to your browser. Uploads are capped at 25MB.
getIMAGEpress is the sister site of getPDFpress, which does the same honest job for PDF files.
